Become a Pilot

Mideast Aviation Academy offers flight training programs for the following certificates and ratings

ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot License)
(Airline Transport Pilot License – Issued by the Jordanian Civil Aviation Regulatory and recognized by the ICAO)

 

Requirements to become a pilot

  • Age from 17 years old and above

  • Pass the evaluation process conducted by MAA with an acceptable level of English language (we provide English courses if needed)

  • Hold a high school certificate or what is equivalent to it, certified from the Ministry of education and ministry of foreign affairs from a place of study

  • Successfully pass the first-class Medical test conducted by one of the designated Doctors by Jordan Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (JCARC) in Amman.

  • Course details

  • Duration: 24 months (with English course)

  • Theoretical Hours: 975 Hrs

  • Flying hours: 225 Hrs

PPL (Private Pilot License)

(Private Pilot License - Issued by the Jordanian Civil Aviation Regulatory and recognized by the ICAO)

Requirements to become a private pilot

Shall be at least 17 years of age

Must hold a valid class 1 or 2 medical (JCAR FCL 1.105)

Course details

Duration: 6 Months.

Theoretical Hours: 322 Hrs.

Flying Hours total: 50:00

Flight Instructor Course (FI)

Flight Instructor Course (FI) - Issued by the Jordanian Civil Aviation Regulatory and recognized by the ICAO)

Requirements
  • Shall be at least 18 years of age.

  • Hold Pilot License.

  • Shall be medically fit in accordance with FCL 1.355(b).

  • Shall have at least CPL or completed 200 hours of flight time of which 150 hours as PIC if holding PPL.

  • Met the requirements for CPL as set out in Appendix I to FCL 1.470.

  • Course details

  • Duration: 18Months.

  • Theoretical Hours: 125 Hrs.

  • Flying Hours: 32:00 Hrs.
